China’s civilian aviation regulator is still reviewing an application by embattled jet-maker Boeing Co. to declare its 737 Max jets airworthy, an official told a press briefing on Tuesday.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) said it had received proposed design changes from Boeing earlier this month and had since responded to the company, and the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with questions.
