Indonesian Leader Volunteers to Be First in Country to Get China’s New Covid Vaccine

Indonesian President Joko Widodo is set to become the first person in the archipelago nation to receive a Chinese-developed Covid-19 vaccine, officially launching the country’s inoculation program.

The 59-year-old president, known popularly as Jokowi, is set to get the vaccine developed by Chinese drugmaker Sinovac Biotech Ltd. on Wednesday, local magazine TEMPO reported.
