Six Cement-Makers and Industry Association Fined for Price Fixing

The market regulator had been probing collusion among the Sichuan companies for years, one researcher said
Sichuan province’s Administration for Market Regulation said the six cement-makers had “implemented monopoly agreements” in violation of the China’s national anti-monopoly law.

Six cement-makers in Southwest China were fined about $9 million earlier this month for colluding to raise prices, which an industry expert said could be the start of a broader crackdown on corporate misconduct in the industry.
