Julie feels fortunate to be in Shanghai. She and her five-year-old school-age child returned to China from Singapore on vacation in June. They planned to only stay until August. But with thousands of newly confirmed cases in Singapore every day, the government decided the island state would be officially “living with Covid-19” going forward. This made Julie pause.
